DUCHESSE SHOES FOR WOMEN

Within Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s first collection for Balenciaga—Summer 26, The Heartbeat—a new shoe silhouette was introduced: the Duchesse. This refined designer shoe reinterprets the classic codes of feminine formal luxury footwear through sculptural lines and modern elegance.
Available in pump and mule styles, the Duchesse features a sharp 11- or 9-centimeter heel that forms a graceful arch. Pointed toes—and the softly blunted point of the flat ballerina version—create a silhouette that tapers subtly inward, expressing confidence, sensuality, and timeless sophistication in high-end designer shoes.
Duchesse shoes are distinguished by a deep yet narrow cut vamp, designed to highlight volume and structure while breaking traditional footwear conventions—an unmistakable Balenciaga signature. Each pair features a grey leather insole hot-stamped in gold with the Balenciaga logomark and stitch-like perforations along the edges. A beige suede-like sole is finished with a golden metal plaque along the arch.
The uppers elevate these luxury shoes with exquisite details, including leather petals, rounded studs, or semi-gloss lacquer finishes.
