NEW YEAR SERIES

On January 6th, 2026, Balenciaga launches exclusive products celebrating the New Year of the Horse. A series of accompanying videos and images captured by John Yuyi on location in Shanghai depict moments of shared tradition and excitement based on the holiday’s most joyous and familiar occasions, accentuated by a cosmopolitan atmosphere.

A moving montage set to swelling music and artfully staged photographs feature actors Ma Sichun, Yang Chaoyue, and Chen Feiyu, and content creators JM and Tan Suan. The group delights in shopping for Bingtanghulu fruit sticks and red lanterns, then taking in the skyline from a romantic rooftop viewpoint.
The ready-to-wear series includes tracksuits, T-shirts, hoodies, scarves, and a special light grey arena leather Balenciaga Le City East-West Bag, each printed or knit with an oversized cursive Balenciaga Paris artwork. Layering pieces and accessories such as wide-neck polo shirts, a leather track jacket, and a baseball cap are embroidered with a version of the script icon. An allover Balenciaga logomark creates an ombre effect on certain items.
Classic footwear is reimagined in exclusive colorways: the Hamptons Sneaker in off-white, red, and grey, with red scribbling on its laces, and the Track Sneaker in white, red, grey, and black. The series also includes bag charms, such as red strass-set heart shapes and lucky horseshoes.
