La musique faisant partie intégrante de la culture et de la force créative de Balenciaga, la plateforme Balenciaga Music a été conçue pour offrir une expérience à 360° qui comprend des playlists sélectionnées à la main, des produits dérivés en édition limitée, du contenu exclusif et des campagnes interactives. Elle présente des mix réalisés par divers artistes travaillant dans le monde entier et dans une grande variété de genres, sélectionnés individuellement par Demna. Ces artistes sont invités à partager leurs influences musicales, à collaborer sur des produits et/ou à produire des compositions originales, en particulier pour Balenciaga. La plateforme répertorie également des sons créés pour les défilés et autres évènements. Le développement de nouvelles technologies, telles que les puces NFC portables, permet des expériences d'écoute spéciales dans ce projet en constante évolution.
DERNIÈRE COLLABORATION
The beloved South Korean singer, songwriter, producer, radio DJ, and TV host Lee Sora began her music career in 1993 as the lead vocalist of Strange People. She has since released eight solo studio albums and many more singles with international acclaim, winning 2005’s female Musician of the Year, 2010’s Best Pop Album, and 2010’s Best Pop Song at the Korean Music Awards. A devoted fanbase formed, some finding her via the multiple music-centric radio and television shows that she has hosted on the Korean Broadcasting System and Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation channels.
For Balenciaga, she has named 47 of her musical inspirations and current favorite songs in an eclectic selection reminiscent of her own past programs. The playlist launch is accompanied by campaign artwork showing its track listing handwritten on a stack of mixtapes and Lee Sora’s album artwork displayed on the visualizer screen of an MP3 player.
The Balenciaga Music | Lee Sora playlist is available to stream worldwide now. On April 10th, an interactive listening party hosted by the artist in Seoul will be livestreamed on Balenciaga’s KakaoTV channel and Lee Sora’s YouTube channel.
