RuPaul For Balenciaga Music
On June 24, 2021, an exclusive playlist by RuPaul Charles for Balenciaga was released to be available to stream or download on Apple Music. Launching simultaneously, limited-edition Balenciaga x RuPaul merchandise was available in stores and on Balenciaga.com. Known mononymously as RuPaul, the recording artist, actor, author, and TV host is the world’s most successful drag queen. Accompanying his playlist was a limited-edition unisex Balenciaga line of clothing and accessories featuring RuPaul’s autograph and the words Balenciaga Music Limited Edition Merch in spray-stencil lettering. To announce this collaboration, a series of videos edit together early RuPaul performances, while new photographs show RuPaul and nightlife fixture Susanne Bartsch wearing the merch line among their friends and friends of Balenciaga.
