BALENCIAGA LE CITY PRE-LAUNCHES IN JAPAN
From March 25th to April 7th, 2026, distinctive new styles in the Balenciaga Le City line—including Japan exclusives—pre-launch at two shopping destinations: the Balenciaga store in Osaka’s Hankyu Umeda main building and a pop-up experience in Tokyo’s Isetan Shinjuku main building.
The Japan pre-launch includes the arrival of Le City bags in woven raffia. A basket style melds a flexible bucket weave with the hallmarks of Balenciaga’s classic It Bag, while a more structured bag is reinforced with arena leather elements, including decorative buckles, overflowing zipper tape, and a hanging leather-framed mirror. Each exhibits the line’s definitive zippered front pocket dotted with thimble-shaped studs and laced with a knotted leather strand, plus hinged, waxed cord-braided handles.
In addition to styles that pair black or optic white leather with natural raffia, the Balenciaga Le City Basket comes in several colorways exclusive to Japan: black leather on black raffia, azalee leather on natural raffia, or mineral green leather on natural raffia.
Following the prelaunch, the Balenciaga Le City Bag and Basket in woven raffia will be available in select Balenciaga stores across Japan.
