Balenciaga’s latest innovation in luxury shoes is one of Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli’s first creations for the House. Honoring Balenciaga’s heritage while engaging with the accelerated rhythm of contemporaneity, it takes its name from a classic form of potential-tracking technology: the Balenciaga Radar luxury sneaker.
This ultra-light, streamlined, contemporary design draws inspiration from the agility associated with radio detection, a shorthand for intuition and awareness. The precision-crafted complexity of the Balenciaga Radar Sneaker, expressed through a slender yet complete silhouette, privileges versatility, responsiveness, flexibility, comfort, and everyday elegance.
A double lacing system that wraps around the entire upper and grip detailing that curls around the outsole create a bold statement, evoking a second-skin effect and appearing to merge with the wearer’s foot. Highly structured elements are debossed with a 3B sport icon and Balenciaga’s signature exposed shoe size, an emblematic House detail. A Ballerina version reinterprets the sneaker’s design codes in a slimmer, lower-cut silhouette, extending the world of luxury shoes into a more delicate shape.
