IMPACT
COMMUNITY
Balenciaga recognizes systemic discrimination and works to advance social justice and equal opportunities for all. The House believes that giving back and promoting education are key drivers of change. Through long-term partnerships and awareness initiatives, Balenciaga collaborates with organizations working toward a more inclusive society.
SOIL
Balenciaga takes pride in using natural materials such as cotton, wool, leather, silk, and cashmere. This connection to nature drives its commitment to preserving soil health as an essential aspect of environmental sustainability. Balenciaga is also committed to supporting agricultural practices that contribute to protecting and restoring the earth’s natural resources for future generations.
e DNA
Since 2023, Balenciaga has supported the deployment of environmental DNA (eDNA) technology through a pilot project led by Epiterre, as part of Kering’s Regenerative Fund for Nature.
eDNA is an advanced method for monitoring biodiversity. By collecting soil, water, or other environmental samples and analyzing traces of DNA shed by organisms, it enables the detection of species both above and below ground, without the need for visual identification or trapping. This approach strengthens the ability of land managers, farmers, and conservationists to assess ecosystem health and resilience with greater accuracy.
The resulting data enables the tracking of biodiversity responses to land management, regenerative practices, and environmental change, providing actionable insights to inform future decisions.

SHELTER
Balenciaga is dedicated to supporting displaced individuals and those in vulnerable situations by collaborating with partners who provide essential resources and by raising awareness about the need for secure living conditions. Through its initiatives, Balenciaga collaborates with organizations that address critical issues such as global hunger and homelessness, aiming to support more responsible solutions and assist people in need.
CHILD PROTECTION
Balenciaga is committed to protecting children’s rights and well-being through partnerships with organizations focused on trauma recovery, child protection education, and raising awareness of child abuse, while also promoting allyship.
With the House’s support, nearly 2,000 professionals specializing in child abuse will be trained, and up to an estimated 55,000 children will benefit from access to evidence-based mental healthcare.
NCA
Together with the Kering Foundation, Balenciaga has partnered with the National Children’s Alliance (NCA) for a three-year commitment launched in 2023 to support child trauma recovery. The initiative expands access to Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) while raising awareness of child protection needs.
Through this partnership, nearly 2,000 professionals specializing in child abuse will be trained, contributing to increased evidence-based mental healthcare for up to 55,000 children. The NCA supports more than 386,000 children annually and works to address the shortage of trained therapists, which leaves approximately 80,000 children without treatment.
Established in 2022, the NCA Institute for Better Mental Health Outcomes works to expand access to trauma-focused care and improve outcomes for children and caregivers affected by trauma.
